V-belt style power steering belt tensioner replacement

Hello everyone, and thanks for having me on the forum. I’m sure this will be my first of many posts as I go about restoring my car but I also hope I can share some experience with other members along the way!

I’ve recently started a huge overhaul of a JDM 1991 AWD non-turbo GTO, and one of the first problems I’m coming up against is the power steering v-belt. The belt on the car when I bought it was shredded and there is a lot of play in the tensioner. I plan to replace all the of the drive belts and pulleys but I cannot find a listing for the tensioner anywhere! The part number I have for it is MB636737

Has anybody got a link to a replacement for this part, or failing that has anybody had any luck with removing the pulley from the tensioner and having a new bearing put into it?

Thanks in advance.

You should easily be able to swap the bearing. I’ve done exactly the same on other hard to find pulleys in the past. Not a car, but I just swapped bearings on a drive spindle for my riding mower. One of the bearings had failed and the assembled spindle was $140. I spent $12 and 5 extra minutes and just replaced the bearings.
