I am new to the forum and was hoping my post and, hopefully, your replies will help someone in the future. I was wondering if anyone had a full list of all hardware and parts needed to replace the inner and outer tie rods for the front. Through the videos and research I have been able to find I can say that I will need inner tie rods (MR131830), outer tie rods (MB527650), inner tie rod boot (MB501711), castle nuts (number not known), castle nut pin (number not known), possibly a lock washer, and im sure other parts that I don’t know. If anyone knows a place to purchase and find these as well it would be extremely helpful. So far I have found mitsubishi.oempartsonline.com and www.3sx.com helpful to find parts (in the US). Thank you in advance!
I would be shocked if anyone has compiled a list for this sort of thing. It is unique to each person. You do not need to replace everything in that area. Just remove the broken part and replace it. Most of those parts are available through aftermarket suppliers and a quick call to your local autoparts store will often yield results. If that doesn’t work, just look on ebay or a quick Google will sort you out.
If you still don’t find anything, then ask on here about the part you need and you may be able to get some help.
Most people on the forums will expect you to do some donkey work first rather than sit back and get someone else to do it for you. A picture of the broken part also helps because different words for the same part are used in different countries and people.
I also found that a lot of the parts are available from dodge if you ask for stealth parts.
Hello Joe,
I agree, a comprehensive list may be a bit much, but I hadn’t been able to find it out there, so I thought I would ask. When I do it myself I will try to post a list of all the parts I used to help anyone in the future. I hope it didn’t come across as asking for someone to do the leg work for me, but I can definitely see how it could be seen as that. I appreciate the reference to dodge and will check there!
Thank you!
