This might be a stupid question but I am asking about replacing my starter. I’ve see it replaced and it looks pretty straight forward and simple. Is there anything I should know, I am no mechanic with a butt load of tools. Thanks
Most important thing is to disconnect the battery because the starter is permanently live. The turbo model is much harder than the non turbo as there is very little working room.
I am working on a video for starting faults and starter motor diagnosis and repair but we are expecting more snow this weekend so videos are delayed.

I’ve taken mine on and off several times. Long story. Located behind the oil pan area if I remember. You’ll see it. Looks just like a starter motor. Only about three 14mm bolts I think and a sensor to disconnect. Just comes out easily. Bearing in mind mines NA
