Speedometer and rev counter problem

Hi all. I have a 1992 GTO and my problem is with the speedometer and rev counter. The speedometer works when it wants to, and the rev counter doesn’t work at all. I was told yesterday that it’s the sensor that needs replacing. Does anyone know where i can get my hands on a replacement please? Many thanks in advance for any help and advice on this matter.

Rockauto has them IF it is the senser that is actually faulty.

Ok, thanks. Do you suspect it could be some other problem?

There’s an electrolytic capacitor in the RPM gauge cluster that goes bad too. Replace that.

What BlackStealth said… I would go and look at that first, but not saying that the sensor not is faulty, but it a more known fact that that those electrolytic capacitor go bad and need replacing.
