Removing headson a 93 3000 GTVR4

Hello I been on this site for a while. I’m from the United States and name is Craig. 1. I was wondering if there is a good method in take the head bolt out either using an air impact wrench or just a breaker bar? 2. is best to remove the cam shaft before removing the bolts? 3. The heads bolts are one time use bolt?

I can only speak from my own experience.
I only use a breaker bar to remove head bolts.
I do not remove the cams until the heads are off because it is easier and tidier.
They are single use bolts but I can say with absolute honesty that I have never replaced them and never had any problems. I usually tighten an extra couple of psi. I have rebuilt maybe 25 engines over the last 15 years and never had a problem.
If you are building a high performance engine you may want to use new bolts.

Thank you Joe for the info.

So do you untighten the cam bolts while the heads are still on the block then remove the heads?

Sorry to bother you again .if you standing in front of the car, the head bolt turns to the left or to the right. I just don’t want to snap a bolt off in the block. Thanks

Sincerely,
Craig

Bolts are undone anticlockwise. The manual recommends removal in a sequence. You should download the manual for more detailed advice.

You’re more likely to snap the hex adapter or extension bar than you are the head bolt. 1/2 inch drive essential!!

Thank you. Any tricks in getting the heads off the block or just follow the manuals? Thanks again for the information.
