I have a: GTOTT Z16A
It has the following issue: my rear steer rack has blown a seal and looks like it needs to be removed and repaired!
Question is: How much trouble am I in for doing this myself to remove and send to a hydraulics shop to Mach seal?
NO HELP WILL BE GIVEN WITHOUT PROVIDING AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE RELATING TO YOUR ISSUE
The seals are really cheap and available off the shelf. It is a DIY job if you don’t mind getting dirty but getting the rack off can be a bit of a job if you have a lot of corrosion underneath.
Thanks Joe, I love your videos! Maybe you can do one on rear steer repair one day! I’m getting conflicting advice some saying everything has to be dropped to remove the rack and others saying just the wheel and remove ball joint from steering rack, remove boot (which is torn and I believe the fluid is coming out of it which means the seal is toast), remove seal replace with new one and put back together ???
