Hi all. Does anyone have experience in removing the rear lower control arms? Looking at it, theres no room to use a socket to undo or tighten the ball joint only access for a spanner. Any advice appreciated.
Also the upper rear arm will accept a socket on the inner bolt but theres no room a ratchet. Thanks.
You may well have to lower the whole rear subframe if i can remember. You don’t quite get the room to get the bolts out.
Both the upper and lower rear control arms can be removed without removing anything else - I did it on my car. The nut holding the lower control ball joint is a pain - I was replacing the ball and ended up cutting one side and undoing the bolt a bit and using a fork to remove on the other side.
