Quick question, not sure if this is the right place to post it. Been interested in purchasing an automatic project GTO with a naturally aspirated V6 down here in New Zealand. I was told it was AWD but I’m not sure if naturally aspirated GTO’s came with AWD? Would love some clarification thanks!
The simple answer is yes. The na model is AWD on the GTO but some base model 3000gt and stealth were FWD only.

In United States only VR-4 was AWD and all NAs were front wheel drive, however in Japan and other countries where the Japanese RHD cars were exported they did have AWD that was NA.

Mine is NA and it is AWD. Mine is a Japanese Import

Had no idea there was a AWD N/A. I know a few people here that have done AWD conversions from FWD, using VR4 parts. Probably would have much easier using the parts from those models instead.
