I have a '93 STEALTH R/T. I replaced radio and added backup camera. After shifting into reverse numerous times, backup lights stopped working. Tested wiring harness, all good. Replaced backup switch. Took car out on road, now won’t shift into 5th gear. No noise, just won’t pass neutral. Still no lights. Took out backup light switch, tip was damaged. Put back old switch, hand tight, still no 5th. Back out switch 1/2 turn, shifts into 5th, no problem! Something in the trans or linkage from shifting while testing? Shifting in all gears while running (with switch backed out) is fine.
