I have a 1994 GTO with an ABS fault.
The warning light goes through it’s check cycle just fine, but once you start moving, the light comes on, and stays on.
I am getting code 52 on the scan tool, which is the motor.
Relays are new. There is no power to the motor, but the fault is deeper than that, as the motor doesn’t spin with power applied directly.
I have now removed the ABS unit from the car, as it certainly looks like it needs a refurbish
I have looked at second hand units, but all seem in pretty poor condition. Even if they do work, the question is, for how long?
The electric motor is, in my opinion, beyond saving. I will, somehow, have to replace this
The bracket is a power coat candidate, and should be savable
The valve block is in much better condition than the rest of it, but I am reluctant to simply refit it.
My intention is to strip it, and rebuild it.
