I have fitted US style rear lights on my 93 gto. Although the photo may look like the indicator is amber enough, it is definitely still red and won’t pass an MOT. I’m okay with changing back to UK spec rears for the MOT but just curious if anybody has found a way to make them appear more amber. I have fitted very bright led indicators and was thinking of spraying the inside orange, but I suspect this could be a waste of time.
Would love to know your thoughts!

I’ve heard green bulbs make the red more amber, never seen myself, nor have I ever looked to see if green bulbs are even available.

Looks like these might be worth a try, but check your fitment first.
Installed green leds for the indicators. Definitely looks more amber now, however man is it dull. Not too bad in the dark but in daylight I’m not really sure they’re safe! The photos make it look duller than they actually are but you get the idea.

This is the amber led, which during the day is nice and bright (although it looks more red than amber) but at night it’s probably too bright
