The kit was fitted to my 1992 Mitsubishi GTO but as you know the engine (6G72) is the same as the stealth and 3000gt not to mention many other models.
The company that made the intercooler and piping were based in Cornwall UK and they specialised in these cars. There fitment is spot on compared to some of the other kits I’ve fitted. This was hand made by the company and uses a special design for the piping to be routed only on the left hand side of the engine
as displayed in the pictures. I’ve had the car tuned up to 450bhp and the charge temps were greatly reduced using this set up compared to the standard side mounted intercoolers. The original cost for this was over £1000 the unit is in good condition considering with no nasty cracks or holes, so hopefully you will get a good deal for this as a used model.
The piping has a connector for a dump/blow off valve and it also has a tapped hole for a sensor such as an intake temperature sensor for a link ECU. If any of these are not required a simple bung will make it usable on both apertures.
Please note this will not fit if you have an after market deeper radiator. The connection for the turbos (front & back) is a silicone hose with jubilee clips. Some standard turbos on the rear require a coupling with the standard bolt to connect to the turbo housing. I’ve included a suitable connector as displayed in the last picture. The connector would need to be welded onto the rear pipe to fit if your using standard 9b turbos. As mentioned most uprated turbos don’t have this type of connector and will fit with the current system on the piping which is just a normal silicone hose and clips. I’ve tried to put as many clips (new/old) that were fitted when I took the intercooler off, but there may be one or two that were damaged and will need to be obtained (2 max).
