ECS shocks, aero active spoiler, exhaust system. Items & advice wanted

Hi,
I have a 1994 GTO which I bought after it was fitted out with a wide body kit.
It’s climate control was burnt out and Joe gave it a 100% life and I’m ever so grateful to him.
Joe is very, very well versed with the GTO and does it all for passion with minimal charge.
Thank you Joe for your videos and your good advice.

I must say I’m not a DIY guy for autos but I do know a fair bit, besides here in Malaysia where I live auto repairs are very reasonably priced and generally owners just pass their autos to repair shops for anything & everything.

The shocks in my GTO have been replaced with normal ones and I would like to replace them with the ECS model. Does anyone has any to sell or know of where I could get them?

Joe, I’ll appreciate if you could throw some light on this or I could reach out to you on your mobile as I still have your number.

The other matter is the aero active spoiler gives out a grating sound when It’s lifted up electrically and I suspect the gears may have lost a teeth or two. Any assistance would be appreciated.

The third is, I was told by my friends that the exhaust sound doesn’t sound original and there’s
no vroom like in a car of that make. Any advise please.

I am very keen to bring life to all the functions as they were originally.

I am pleased to hear that the display is now good. I’m afraid that I can’t help with the shocks but you asked the question in the right place. The original shocks are now very rare but they do come along from time to time and the forums are probably the best place to ask. Also worth checking ebay but some sellers may be reluctant to ship overseas.

There’s someone in Canada that rebuilds front ECS struts like new. He has a pair available for sale right now: https://www.3si.org/threads/front-ecs-struts-rebuilt-pair-for-sale.832899/?post_id=1056423176

He’s also going to experiment with rebuilding rear struts soon, now that they seem to have become discontinued too.

I have a pair of rear ECS shocks iff of a 1994 VR4 that are non functional and would need rebuilt as far as I know. I also have the top wiring plugs for them with the rubber boots in good condition. Not sure how much postage would be to Malaysia. Probably pretty expensive.
