Doors are locking

Hello, my 2nd gen EU 3000GT has one issue, when I locked the doors with a key and try to unlock it then all doors are locking back. But it’s not like in the video which Joe made when the door locks behave like machine gun, there the issue is a broken rubber inside actuator.

My doors are locking only once, no machine gun effect.

So, if I quickly open a door while it’s locking back then I can get inside with locked doors. When being inside and trying to unlock from the interior when the door is open, doors are still locking back. The green “security” lamp is present on the gauge cluster. It’s a factory alarm, indicates that the car is closed and factory immobilizer is active.

I also noted, when I put key in car key ignition then the doors are unlocking, so something probably receives a signal that it’s a right key and car should be unlocked.

I replaced both door switches and ordered drivers door actuator, it’s on the way but not sure if that can help.

Where to look further ?

Additional info: Car did not see winter/salt for at least 12 years and I try to avoid driving it in rainy days. Everything else related to ETACS works fine. Car doesn’t have any aftermarket alarm. All stock

I think that the repair in my video will also solve your problem.

Today I tried to install a brand new driver side actuator. (By default) it doesn’t have one rod so I could not figure out how to remove that from old actuator. So I just swapped the black plastic part. Cleaned and greased all rods, they move good.

First question: How do I remove this rod from my old actuator and put to a new? It looks like there is some clip but it’s not coming out.

Also update: The changing black plastic part did not help to solve the issue.

I can close / open doors from inside but when unlocking from key the doors are closed back.

Perhaps, need to do same with passenger side :frowning:

On the screen it’s marked what should be removed from old actuator.

Also, a brand new actuator looks like this, I hope it’s in the open state by default. Can someone confirm ? When I took my old off the position matched with a new one.

Does anyone know what this cable is for? I have same in my car in both sides.
