Crankshaft reman from Enginetech

Hello all!
I’m on the way to reassemble the engine from my 1992 VR4. The crankshaft I found at the engine when I opened, it was the forged one, suggesting it was replaced before. Unfortunately there were two cracks on it. I’m going through three ways:

1- I purchased a not forged one, cheapest way and available in Brazil, it came from Mando, but I refused two due to quality issues until find a better one.
2- Machine the cracks at the two places at the forged crankshaft until reach to 0.25 until the limit of 0.50 to check if the cracks comoletely disappear. (Ongoing).
3- I recently purchased a forged (reman) from Enginetech, through Rockauto, I’m about to receive it in two days.

My questions are:
1- Have someone successfully restored crack at the cranckshaft, worth it weld a forged one?
2- Anyone used parts from Enginetech, what were your thoughts?
3- Has anyone measured the hardness of a forged and not forged crankshaft? Is it possible to disclose that information?
