There are a number of cars that shared the same parts with the 3000gt. The easiest way to find the part is to go to a mitsubishi or dodge dealer who can cross reference the part number.

most parts are still available
also a lot of parts are still available genuine, I order lots of parts from Amayama online and parts come straight from Japan, there very good, never had any problems and most new genuine parts are cheaper than used parts been broken on ebay for certain parts

The main part is the metal roof section in front of the moon roof on the mk1
from Amayama, keep the parts and delivery under £135.00 otherwise you will get import and Royal Mail charges etc.

There are a surprising number of parts from the Mitsi Pajero (or Montero I think). The MAF sensors for instance. and some minor turbo parts from the Legnum VR4. Also the Mitsi Diamante.
Finding parts is a real headache but the time wasted waiting for parts to arrive stretches the vehicle off-road time immensely.
