I imagine the problem I had only happens if you needed to get to srs unit or shifter linkage but same for my auto and the manual TT.
Hunted high and low in fuse boxes and tested two connectors which both work
No problem found but still would not work and needed to plug safe driving insurance box in to it.
Took it to Gary who did all the same tests and also checked the two leads and found one would separate wire from connector when pushed on a dummy terminal. Solder new clip on and worked perfectly.
Dont be heavy handed when moving things around is , I guess, the thing to avoid
