Hi, i am a new owner of a gto 30cc 24v automatic transmition.non turbo.
Is it normal that it does not have any acceleration at all. Very slow for a 3L engine i think. Or i have something wrong?
Non turbo automatic 3000GT’s are not fast by any mark. The long first gear doesn’t help matters. You may also have an issue and be taking off in 3rd as well.
I have heard of people who own automatics having a problem where the car gets stuck in 3rd gear.
How would i know that its stuck on 3rd gear?

Count how many times it shifts when you pull away.
Before anything ,see whether gearbox oil and filter have ever been changed, the brainy solenoids work much better with nice clean stuff.
Hi all,i notice that it is stuck on 3rd gear i think so. I am not hearing it changing gears and slow on taking off .
it’s called “Limp mode” when the tranny will not shift out of 3rd gear… check tcu for bad caps
