I have a: (GTO,TT,1992)
Are spares available for the Aircon compressor, I suspect the shaft seal as it does work when gassed but leaks out after 12 months and no leaks shown elsewhere.
Or anyone who can recon this unit ,last option to buy a new/recon unit.
If you cant see any visible signs of leaks, there is a chance the evaporator core is leaking, which is not available for our RHD cars and is buried away in black plastic casing behind the glovebox. There’s a point where Mitsubishi in their wisdom secured a bit of the evaporator pipework with a bracket and corrosion occurs there and pin holes the pipe.
I have a spare but i’m in nz. i’m throwing out air con parts as no one wants them.
