AC must know where to look

I thought I was going in for a simple AC charge but when the coolant leaked out within a day the mechanic believed it was the top of the compressor needing a rebuild. I chose not the expensive route but ordered a new compressor instead. All worked good but after two days the collant leaked out, yet again. The mechanic believed it was a pinched o-ring Filled back up with coolant but after a few days you guessed it. Leakee-poo. The mechanic then believed it was the hose running against the firewall since green dye was spotted. Well I went to another AC man and he just dealt with the same issue on a 3000gt and it took him a while to to discover the issue and he found the evaporator was the culprit . I bought a new one and all is fixed. So if the issue comes up with you check the evaporator first.
