I have a 1991 3000gt sl and am trying to pull together the parts to replace the ac/alternator tensioner pulley/bearing. The one on my car is starting to whine. Can these be rebuilt? If so does Joe have a video showing how to do it? Part numbers would be very helpful if available. I am in the US. BTW I had a very nice visit this week to Holyhead and Liverpool in the UK. Very nice people here! Hope to stay longer next time and find where my father’s family immigrated from in the 1750s.

There still seems to be a lot of confusion around these pulleys. It would be helpful if you could take a picture of the pulley you need and note if it is the small or large one. I only have the small one.

I’m looking for the Alt/Ac bearing for the tensioner. Or the pulley and bearing. It’s for a stock 1991 3000gt sl US model. I can get used in the US but you never know what you’re getting.

I have plenty of those pulleys. They are £25 each or £33
with new gates belt. If you are in the States, I will have to find out what trump taxes and fees will be applied on top. I stopped shipping to the states because the taxes and fees seemed to change daily and I was getting stuck with the bill. As you can imagine, I’m not making anything on these parts and can’t keep taking the hit.

I totally understand and do not want you to lose any money. Unless the pulley requires a belt different from what came on the car or is only sold in the UK or Europe I will only need the pulley. I would like to order 2 pulley’s if you can spare an extra. Let me know how much I owe you and how to pay and I will send you the funds.
Do you have the power steering tensioner v belt pulley? If so I would be interested in purchasing that also.

I will get you a shipping cost on Monday. The other pulley has a standard removable bearing which you can pull yourself and order a new one online from any bearing supplier for a fraction of the cost of a complete unit.

Right now, my life is still running at a hundred miles an hour and I am sorry to say that I haven’t managed to get five minutes free to do any videos lately even though some are prepared ready to film.
