I plan on 3D modelling the 6-speed W6MG1 transmission, and I’m after some idea of dimensions in mm or 1/16 in. The attached pic from the technical manual already has the arrows mapped out. I’ve already contacted some parts sellers but so far they don’t have it on hand.
I’ve just had a reply from a parts vendor about input shaft dimensions, and here’s what they’ve said. It’s for a W5MG1, and I’m not sure if it’s the same for a W6MG1.
length is about 15 15/16’‘, big part of shaft is 1.693’‘, middle 1.377’‘, spline ond at bearing surface is 1.180’‘, and small bearing end away from spline end is .787’'.
What is it you’re trying to do? Are you looking to re manufacture parts or just build a plastic 3D printed version for show?
No plans for a physical making, I just like details in my 3D models. Though if anyone else wants to make a 3D print of it, I may consider uploading the file when I’m satisfied with the end result.
Further info to hand: the main front differential is 7.5” (19.05 mm).
The diagram has been updated as follows. Still need to double-check if some of the figures are correct.
