Harmonic Dampener/balancer

I have them but I just noticed that you are in the States. You may have noticed from my previous post that president Trump has stopped car parts from being sent to the states and also, import taxes from all countries have gone through the roof. We also have to pay the taxes in advance of shipping but I don’t know what they are until I am at the shipping agent. The only way I can send to you is if I send it as a non car part but there is risks to that option. If it gets lost or stopped by customs, you will not be able to claim for the loss. This is an expensive item to loose. Are you prepared to take the risk?

Interesting…I was not aware of this. I cannot find out what it is 100% true, but I have read multiple articles from Feb. 2026 saying that auto parts are exempt from the new tariffs. They also said the tariffs are even lower at 10% from countries like the UK. It seems like there aren’t restrictions on the import of car parts right now as I can find. Where did you hear about this? If what you are saying is true, is the potential risk full loss of the part and expenses?

Every time I try to send car parts, the postal service refuses them. I sometimes send them as tractor or sewing machine parts but on the understanding that if us customs stop them, I am not responsible. Also, every parcel I have shipped has incurred upfront taxes and handling fee from us customs. Trump changes the taxes every time a country doesn’t do what he tells them to do. The taxes on the uk have changed 4 times in the last year. I will get the latest information and get back to you.

Ok thank you! Let me know what you find

I have done some investigating and the problem is worse than I thought. It would appear that even shipping within the UK is a problem for car parts. See attached. As for shipping to the states, it is only after I am completing the shipping documents online that it tells you that you can’t ship car parts. You have to enter a code which is given for each category of item. When you enter the code, it then informs you that you can’t ship any items with that code (namely car parts) this has been a bloody nightmare for me as I have a lot of customers in the US and the problem has been made much worse by the trump taxes that seem to change depending on which side of the bed he gets out on that day. As I said previously, I can send it as a tractor part but if it gets lost there will be an issue with proving the price. I can also do you a low value receipt to reduce the amount of tax that you pay but ultimately, it is no longer easy to get parts to the states.

In your opinion and from experience, what do you recommend? I am not familiar with shipping much overseas and now all the additional complications with the US make it worse. What do you think is the safest option here? Should I try to find something domestic or risk it for the nice part. It seems like what you are saying is that if the item is lost/stopped, there is no chance of getting funds back, right?

I have no idea why couriers have started doing this other than lack of care for their customers. I am prepared to take 50% gamble on total loss for such a high value part but that’s the best I can do.

Ok, what is the best way for me to buy this from you. I appreciate your help and persistence through the difficulties.

I will get a shipping cost and get back to you by private message tomorrow.
