Trip odometer push button

Hello all my name is: Terry Getting
I have a: 1992 Stealth RT TT
I would like to remove the lens over the speedometer and tach to clean the backside of it but don’t know how to remove the trip odometer push button? My shop manual shows it as the first step to do but not how it comes off. Any help would be great. Thank you.

Just pull it gently !

Thank you. I pulled on it a little but didn’t want to break it. I’ll give it a little more on the next try. Thanks again.
