Struts + springs, OEM or not, that can replace the ECS system

Hi all, new here - I’ve recently picked up a 1997 3000GT, UK spec. Really nice timber green colour.

Anyway, all 4 struts (and springs) are pretty knackered - rusty, no signs of leaks but I don’t want to try my chances. I’m going to replace all 4 of the coils and dampers, but I’m not really sure what my options are. I’m not going for sub 300 quid coilovers, that would be ridiculous, and the only springs I can find are the TEIN lowering ones - I have a pretty interesting staggered setup, so I don’t want to risk any fender rubbing on the rear.

So, if anyone could share some good aftermarket options, I’d appreciate it. Comfort over everything tbh, but beggars can’t be choosers. Cheers, and nice to meet you all, looking forward to sharing progress

We went with a set of BC Racing coil-overs. They are about $1600 AUD before labour to have them installed and aligned for us. Unfortunately, good suspension is going to be pricy unless you want to buy it again a few years down the track.

We have kept the original with the intention of possibly refurbishing/restoring them with someone who can, if thats possible.

Really your options are going to be pretty thin could be different in the European scene, though.

Understood man, cheers! Think I’m just gonna go with some KYB shocks non-ECS.
