Im Andy in yeovil somerset and rebuilding an engine in my gto plus converting from auto to 5 sp manual box. I need to remove steering column to install clutch pedal. Cheers

Joe covered the lowering of the steering column in the dashboard removal video: https://youtu.be/96w__RCGaeI?t=1819 If i remember correctly there are then 4 bolts that hold the steering column to the body and then either the parts pull apart or there is a clip that holds them together.
@Joe90 maybe you can clarify better than me?

Yep got it. Missed that video. Like you say looks like few more bolts and a clamp at the bottom.
Long term project so get there in the end.
