I swapped out the cluster and still no RPM or MPH readings… so it must be the sending unit that mounts on top of the transmission? Either the teflon wheel or the pulse sending devise. I will tear into it this weekend and hopefully figure out which piece I need.
The PTU sends the tacho signal. If you have neither RPM or Speed working then it’s likely to be that there is a wiring issue or maybe one of your connectors under the dash isn’t connected or seated right?
I cleaned the sending unit up real good made sure the nylon wheel was spinning and fitting good put it back together with Di-electric grease and got my odometer speedometer and tripometer working. Replaced the PTU and now my tachometer kinda works looks like it is showing half what it should…
